Happy Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween from the Library Ghoul who haunts the library stacks, only on Halloween does she reveal how she became the library ghost.
Many years ago a sweet young woman was working in the library when a serial killer came in and killed her.
As you can see by her many battle wounds it took a lot to finally kill her. Several knife wounds, lots of beatings, and finally a bullet wound to the head did her in. Now she haunts the stacks of the library, organizing and straightening the books.
Of course she joins her own kind once in a while at Tuacahn when the zombies are wandering around frightening the innocent people going to see Thriller.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween full of lots of fun and tons and tons of tricks and treats.

Hello World, I'm still here!

I've noticed that I haven't been posting very much lately, and I'm sure that most of you have probably noticed as well. Since my river trip in June I haven't really done much and hence the pause on posts. School starts in less than two weeks, and this is my final year until I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Library Science. And lucky for me I will be able to walk with my big sis next May since she was able to pass Chemistry this summer! Come Monday I will be getting my new roommate Kali, Cash's girlfriend.
So what else have I been doing this summer? Well I was able to read all of The Chronicles of Narnia series, as well as finish Harry Potter for the second time, and yes I did see the final movie, and bawled like a baby ;)
I've also been working lots and lots this summer. Yes I've been working three jobs this summer. I've mostly been working at the library, as well as the chocolate factory, and Tuacahn. So lots and lots of working to try and make up for my long Road Trip that I took earlier this summer.
Of course working at Tuacahn has its perks, I was able to see both shows, which were awesome, and NO I CANNOT get you tickets to see Little Mermaid.
Me and Trace with Prince Eric and Ariel.
Me and my friend Kymn with Danny and Sandy.
Sadly I have nothing else to look forward to this summer, but I did have lots of fun on the trips that I was able to take, and hopefully next summer I'll be posting pictures from mine and Libby's graduation trip to Europe! Also on a side note I've been looking into Graduate Programs in Library Science. There are several schools that have this program, alas none of them are in Utah ;) so maybe a year or two after I graduate from SUU I might be moving back East to continue on with my education, but that's still a little way away. So for right now I will be focusing on my final year at SUU and look to the future. Who knows what might happen in a year, maybe I'll finally find me a man ;) But I'll cross that bridge when it comes. As of right now I remain a single college student who is beginning to see the light at the end of this tunnel. I'm sure as soon as I'm out in the sunshine I'll come to another tunnel, but the best thing to do is trudge on and do it with a positive attitude and a big smile on my face.

The joys of "The Tuacahn"

So ended another year at "The Tuacahn" but don't worry I'll be back next year. Here are some pictures from the closing night of Aida!

This is with Thayne Jasperson, he was on the show So You Think You Can Dance? He also played Ren in Footloose and was the main Egyptian dancers for Aida. I know the picture isn't great it was taken from my phone, but I had to show ya'll how beautiful he is!

This next picture is with Josh Adamson, he played Radames in Aida. He is gorgeous and very nice, and the best part of all is that he is from Australia, and has the accent and everything!

This next picture is of me with Terrance. He plays Mereb and has the most amazing voice!!!

Kim and Mereb (Terrance).

These next pictures are of the box office gang. This is us with the girl who played Amneris in Aida and she also played Ariel in Footloose.

The box office with Radames.

With Aida.

With Mereb.

This is us with Jenn, she was one of the ensemble but she is way sweet!
This is just to show ya'll how much I love it at Tuacahn, one of the best places ever!

Everybody Cut Loose!

So I know that you all know that I work at the Tuacahn Box Office during the summer. Well, this last week I got the chance to see Footloose again. Let me just say that it is a great show! Very entertaining and fun. I took my friend Kim with me and we had a blast. Before the show we got our picture taken in the Footloose poster, and yes I am the guy.

At intermission they have a mechanical bull that people can pay to ride. They also have it on the plaza before the show. The first week they were letting Tuacahn employees ride the bull for free, probably trying to get some publicity. I had to take something to the guy who runs the bull and he convinced me to get on the bull and ride it. I wasn't on it for very long, but it was fun, and I will definitely try it again.
Anyway back to my original story. At intermission they have the mechanical bull on the stage, as well as some of the actors who go through the audience and drag people on stage to square dance. Well they were mainly taking little kids up on stage, so me and Kim decided that we wanted to go dance on stage. So we ran up and started dancing with the actors and as soon as we went up a ton of other people came up and joined us. As you can see by the picture some people we know caught us on camera.
Definitely a great show!

I Saw Santa!!!

So Friday I was working at Tuachan, and they have Santa there and I thought "I think I should go see Santa and tell him what I want this Christmas." What do you think I want for Christmas. Well if any of you know that Christmas song sung by Britney Spears "My Only Wish This Year" then you'll know what I want. A man under my tree with a big red bow...you can laugh I do. Anyway my point was that I got to see Santa Clause and sit on his lap. I didn't tell him that was what I wanted I pretty much just sat on his lap to get a picture, but he really nice and he gave me a free candy cane!!!

Funny story!

So I just wanted to thank Logan and Sydney for the Axl Rose video they made of me that totally made me laugh. Plus I love the attention! Anyway Sydney's story about their trip to Tuacahn made me laugh because she was scared of getting stung by the wasps. Well last night I went to closing night of The Sound of Music last night with my friend Shaylee. Anyway, I got a frozen Raspberry Lemonade, which are delicious. However, the bees love them as well. I started eating it once we were to our seats and bees kept swarming around me. So, I decided that I would put it away until after the show starts, because the bees usually settle down once it gets dark. So I took one last bite just before I closed the lid, and as I put the spoon to my mouth a bee decided it wanted a bite of my frozen lemonade as well. Anyway to make a long story short, I got stung on my bottom lip. Luckily I noticed quick enough that it was unable to leave it's stinger. However, my lip did swell up a bit, and is a little tender. I wish that I would have taken a picture last night when I had gotten home, imagine my full lips as being a tad bit fuller. It kind of looked like I had a collagen injection that day. The moral of my story is that if you ever go to Tuacahn don't get any treats until intermission, and if you decide to get a frozen lemonade make sure there are no bees on the spoon before you take a bite.

Working the box office again!!!

So guess what!! I'm working at Tuacahn Center of the Arts again this summer. I started last week. I am in the box office once again and love the people I am working with. This summer the plays that we have going are Les Miserables, Sound of Music, and Big River. I am very excited to be able to go and watch the plays. I just wanted to brag about how I'll get to see all the plays a few times, and let everyone know how much I am enjoying working in the box office again this summer!!
