Things are Looking Up!

Today things have been so much better! We started out the day by sleeping in until about noon. When we did finally wake up Libby went to delta.com and checked up on our luggage and guess what it had been located!!!! So Libby called Delta and found out that our luggage was on its way to the Daytona Beach airport. So while we were waiting for our luggage to arrive in Daytona we went to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station Museum. Libby was the only one who made it to the top of the lighthouse, me and Holly chickened out, but we did have fun going around to the other buildings on the site. After the lighthouse we went and ate a yummy lunch at a restaurant just off the beach.

Then we went to the Daytona Airport and picked up our luggage!!! We were all very ecstatic about finally getting our luggage that we went straight back to our hotel went through our luggage and were just very happy to have it back. After we celebrated having our luggage we pulled on our swimsuits and went to lay on the beach. Well pretty much Libby and Holly laid on the beach. I enjoyed myself by playing in the ocean. The water was perfect! I just stood in the water and let the waves hit me. One wave was so strong that it knocked me over. I discovered once I got out of the water that I had a couple of nice scrapes on my knee from it. After I got sick of playing in the water I went and joined Libby and Holly and we all just laid on the beach reading, and enjoying the occasional attractive men that would pass us. So far things have been a lot better and more enjoyable. I think that having a good nights rest and having our luggage really helped!

Traveling Sucks!

So last night Libby, Holly, and I headed down to Vegas to catch our red eye flight to Atlanta. About a half hour north of Vegas we got a call from Delta saying that our flight had been delayed an hour. So we were thinking "Okay well we have four hours until we have to be at the airport, let's go to the outlet stores at Caesar's Palace." So we went to the mall mainly so that Libby could get a replacement for her watch but we still had a while and we were hungry so we decided to go to the Cheesecake Factory. It wasn't busy but the service was slow. By the time we got out of Caesar's Palace we had an hour before our plane was to take off. So we rushed to the airport having some bathroom issues. We get to the check-in counter and we're already running late, the guy at the baggage claim decided to just print out a special sticker for out luggage. After that we ran through security and got to our gate with enough time to use the restroom before we boarded. Once we were on the plane we were all out we were so exhausted. When we finally landed in Atlanta we discovered that we had missed our connecting flight to Jacksonville and had to get another flight. When we finally did land in Jacksonville things just got worse. First our baggage was (well still is) lost and we couldn't get a rental car. Eventually we did get a rental car but our luggage is still currently missing. Now we are sitting in our ghetto hotel room after a long day of trying to get through the day sanely. The only money we've spent so far has been on extra clothes and little travel toiletries. We did go spend a little bit of time on the beach. It is really beautiful here but so far our experience here in Florida hasn't been the most present. Hopefully the rest of our trip will be better, and please pray that we will get our luggage back.
