Have you ever heard of pie shakes?

So today Allison and I tried a little restuarant called Sammy's. There is a location near by, so Allison and I decided to go and try it out. Sammy's is famous for their pie shakes. Allison and I ordered some burgers and fries, I got sweet potato fries, and some delicious shakes. Allison got the mint oreo pie shake and I got the red velvet cupcake shake. Both of them were amazing! They had a lot more flavors available, so don't be surprised if I go back for more.

After Sammy's, Allison and I went and saw Here Comes the Boom. I have to say that I loved it! However, I did have a hard time with the actual fighting, but other than that it was awesome!!! I will say that it made me cry a little bit, but for anyone who knows me well knows that I cry in a lot, A LOT, of movies. My brother will definitely like this movie, especially the UFC fighting.
As for the holidays, they were spent with family. A very chaotic week, but lots of fun. I got a bedspread, a sewing kit, and money to go shopping, and I got a lot of cute clothes. Let's see, I saw Breaking Dawn, Part 2, The Hobbit, Les Miserables, and Life of Pi over the last few weeks. Yes I enjoyed Breaking Dawn, I loved The Hobbit, Les Miserable was good, and Life of Pi was ok, I did enjoy it more than the book, but I felt like the book went on forever! Now back to The Hobbit, I absolutely loved it! Now I know that ya'll know how much of a Lord of the Rings fan I am. Well I totally enjoyed it, plus it had my newish love. A few years ago I discovered a wonderful British movie called North and South. It stars a beautiful man called Richard Armitage.

He is in The Hobbit and plays Thorin Oakenshield. Even as a dwarf I think he's beautiful, my roommate thinks I'm crazy, but I can't resist his beautiful blue eyes. Honestly I think Richard Armitage is my dream guy: tall, dark hair, amazing blue eyes, and British, seriously I think he's my soul mate, now I just need to find him and meet him ;)

I'm also in love with David Tennant, who is the 10th doctor on Doctor Who.

I think that it's official. I'm in love with British men. I think I definitely need to move to England.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Attention: If you have not read or watched Eclipse do NOT read this. There are some spoilers!

I know, I know. I'm slacking. First of all I waited to see the movie the Monday after it came out, and I wasn't as excited about this movie as I was with the first two. However, I was excited to see it. So Monday afternoon my friend Kim, her sister, and I went and watched the movie.
I know that you all know that I am pretty much obsessed with the Twilight series, especially the books, so I'm going to share my opinion about the movie.
I thought that the movie was better than the first two. Jacob is still hot, Edward not so much. Bella is an idiot and I think that the movies and the books could do with a bit less of her. Speaking of the books, I think that they should have been written in third person instead of first person. I do like that it feels like you're Bella, but she could have done so much more and gotten rid of some of the inner emotional crap we get from Bella. Anyway, getting back to the movie Eclipse. I thought that there was a good balance of corniness and action. The battle scenes were awesome and very intense. I did think that the first half of the movie moved really fast and I understand that they needed to cut out a lot, but I think that they could have moved a bit slower. I also think that if someone had never read the books might not understand a lot of what was happening. I think my favorite scene was the scene in the tent when Edward and Jacob were talking. I thought it was a great scene plus I thought the way Jacob was laying looked really uncomfortable. I also thought the bedroom scene was rather humorous. Apparently I found more to laugh at then to really scorn. I did like how they showed Rosalie and Jasper's pasts. I thought the way they moved through their lives was really well done. I think what I loved most in this movie was Jasper and Alice's relationship. It actually shows them being affectionate and it was really sweet.
Overall I did like the movie and I will probably give it five stars on Netflix, and we all know that I will buy it as soon as it comes out on DVD.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

So tonight I went and saw The Twilight Saga: New Moon with my friend Kelli. I have to say, this movie is much better than Twilight. I liked Twilight, but there are many details I don't specifically like about that movie, but New Moon is much better. The acting is better, the special effects were awesome, they probably could have done better with the wolves, but they were pretty cool anyway. I have to admit that I might be a wolf fan, because the wolf pack is extremely attractive and built! I don't like Kristen Stewart as an actress, and I don't like Rob Pattinson as an actor very much either. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie, it was much better than the first movie. If anyone wants to go, I'd be happy to go with you ;-)

I saw it Again!!

So I just wanted to let all of my fellow Twilighters know that I went and saw Twilight again, this time with Libby and my Mom. I know I was pretty critical of it, and there are still many things I don't like about it. However, seeing it again and knowing what to expect I liked it better the second time around. So if you don't like it the first time, try seeing it again and see if you like it then.

This picture is of the line. We got there about 9:30pm, and by the time we got sat down in the theater we were in the second row. That was a blast.

Twilight: The Movie...dun, dun, dun

So just to let all of you Twilight Fans know I went and saw the first showing of Twilight last night at midnight. Let me just warn you "IT IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE BOOK!!!!" I won't give any spoilers but I will let you know that it moves rather quickly, and it is kind of "choppy." I did enjoy the movie, but I went to it not expecting anything, so I wasn't really disappointed. I of course was disappointed but I couldn't help it, I did want it to follow the book a lot better than it did. I probably will see it again just to see if it gets better the more you watch it. So if anyone wants someone to go with I'm available.
I did dress up again and I looked really good, I will be posting pictures in the next couple of days so make sure to look back. I did wear gold colored contacts again but these ones were darker so they worked better with my eyes, so pay close attention to my eyes when I post my pictures.
P.S. Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm running on like 3 hours of sleep. I had to get up to be to my eight o'clock class this morning, and I feel like a zombie!

I'm so excited!!!

So if you Twilight fans haven't heard the movie is going to be coming out three weeks earlier than planned. It was supposed to be coming out on December 12, 2008 and is now going to be released November 21, 2008!!!! The reason for this change is because Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is not being released until the Summer of 2009, which is kind of sad because I was also looking forward to seeing that movie as well. Oh well, that means we won't have to wait as long for Twiligh to hit theaters! Yeah!!

I'm finished with Breaking Dawn!!

So I know how you all love to hear about me and my obsession with the Twilight Saga. So I'm just warning you that this is another one of those posts. I finished Breaking Dawn about a week ago, and it was so good! I read it in two days. I got it early Saturday morning and finished it late Sunday evening. I swear that I felt every emotion as I read it. I'm not going to ruin anything for those who have not read the book yet, but if you liked the first three I would definitely read the last and final installment of the saga. Now that I have finished the book all I have left to look forward to is the movie. I'm very excited and if you have not already noticed it I have a countdown for the movie on my blog now. I would love to hear what you guys think of the book so let me know! I'm just going to say right now that I was very happy with the way the book ended. I knew it was going to be a happy ending, that is so Stephenie.

I got Breaking Dawn!!!!

So last night I went to a party at Barnes & Noble from 9:30pm to about 12:30am. I went with my friend Kelli (her and I went to the Stephenie Meyer book signing together back in May). Me and Kelli are like totally obsessed with the Twilight Saga books that we reserved our books about a month ago.

We also dressed up as vampires for the party. If you look close enough you can see the bruise like circles under my eyes. Kelli also got some golden colored contacts to wear. It was so much fun, we had a blast. There was a scavenger hunt/trivia that we did which was so much fun. Kelli and I got almost all of the trivia questions right, except for one which was from the first chapter of the fourth book which we had both read but had forgotten.

About 11:45pm they had everyone go outside so that they could get the books out and have a line set up. We only had to wait a half hour to get our books. Since we had already reserved our books plus we had got our numbers early enough that we were fairly close to the beginning of the line. I stayed up until 3:30 this morning reading because I was so excited that I couldn't sleep and I was very curious. So far the book has been really good, it is different from the first three, and right now I'm furious with Bella, but I knew that I would be because she always drives me nuts. I can't wait to finish the book and see how it ends!!! Gotta go read!!!!

I'm so Excited!!

So as you can see from my countdown clock I am very excited for Breaking Dawn the new Stephenie Meyer book to be coming out. I just wanted everyone who is waiting for this book to come out to be able to see how long we have to wait. I'm totally going to go buy it at midnight!!!

I got Stephenie Meyer's autograph!!!

So on May 16th (and yes it was the same day as Grandma's funeral) I went to Salt Lake and got to go to a Stephenie Meyer discussion and signing!!! It was so much fun. My friend Kelli Jo and I drove up to Salt Lake after the funeral arriving at Thanksgiving Point at around six o'clock and the signing started at seven. At seven she came out on stage, we were at the Show Barn at Thanksgiving Point. She talked for about 30 minutes, mainly on The Host, but also on Twilight and the movie. She thinks that the movie is going to be really well done and she thinks that all of the actors fit their characters really well. After her discussion she signed books. We were the second to last row and we had to wait four hours before we got our books signed, but it was worth it. While we waited Kelli and I both started reading The Host, and I finished it Thursday Morning around 2:30. It was such a great book, good love story, even though it was about Aliens. It wasn't as good as the Twilight saga but I still really enjoyed it. I can't wait for Breaking Dawn to come out! Plus she said that she is planning on maybe doing two more books after The Host, so that is very exciting. I have some pictures to brag about so here they are, enjoy them!!

So I was able to get my The Host and Twilight, and then I was nice enough to get Libby's Eclipse signed.

I know you can't believe that I waited four hours for that, but I had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed myself.

The magic of being bored!

So I was bored again, and I had just finished listening to Eclipse, the third book to Twilight, and I've been wanting to see what I would look like as a vampire. Hence the pictures. Now, I'm up for any critiquing so let me know what you think. I think that I will look cooler if I do it with my hair down, and get me some either black or gold colored contacts. This is just a practice round so that when Twilight the movie comes out I can go as a vampire. Please let me know if you think that I should do anything different. Go ahead and laugh, I know that I am obsessed!!
