Book Review of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Last Battle

I just finished reading this wonderful series and just wanted to share my thoughts on the final book.

The Last Battle (Chronicles of Narnia, #7)The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my gosh! I love this book! Definitely my favorite book of the series! Not as much adventure or battles as some of the other books, but the symbolism of everything that happens is so powerful and I love the way that Lewis describes paradise or the "real" Narnia. All of the books in this series are so beautifully written. I think it's great that he ends the book by saying that their greatest adventures were only just beginning. I love how Lewis has titled the book "The Last Battle" because death can be the final battle that we fight. Seriously so amazing, I would definetly recommend that everyone should read this, especially those that are Christians because they are filled with religious symbolism and it is so beautifully expressed. Definitely a series that I will read over and over.

Wow - you have almost convinced me to read this series, but I probably won't. ;) I like that quote though "their greatest adventures were only just the beginning." Maybe someday I'll pick them up and read them. Great review though!

The library has them on CD I think, you should at least listen to them.

I recently read the Last Battle as well. Although there is a lot of symbolism in the other Narnia books, I felt like this one had SO many layers; I would love to read it again and spend more time unraveling and all that. Oh, and are you so sad about Susan? So sad.
