Random Pics Part 3: Snow Day 2006

Once upon a time a long time ago, about four years ago, we got a snowstorm in St. George, Utah. I know unbelievable right, but yes it does happen...very rarely. My good friend Jessi J and I decided to take this rare opportunity and make a snowman. This was our snowman...my boyfriend of the time...as you can see I was all over him.

Jessi was too.

Doesn't he look warm and friendly. Ah I was so in love, but it didn't last too long, he soon melted away and now he only lives in my dreams.

Fun in the Snow!

So a couple of my friends and I made a snowman yesterday. It was my idea, of course, because who in their right mind would want to play in the snow instead of studying? Well I used my power of persuasion and convinced Emily McRae and Allison Haight to come over and help me make a snowman.

Well first of all we made it on the little patch of grass that we have at our apartment. Second it was the middle of the day and the snow was really powdery so it didn't stick together very well. Thirdly we didn't have any sticks or stones to give him a face or arms, so we had to compromise a bit.

We had a lot of snow but because it was so powdery we soon got tired of trying to get the snow to stay together that we finally just gave up and made him as big as we could which turned out to be about two to three feet tall. We had to compromise and instead of using sticks for his arms we used some twigs from a dead weed, and for his hair we just pulled out a whole weed. There was a lack of rocks around so for his eyes and mouth Allison went and got some food coloring. We gave him big blue eyes, because they are the most prettiest color of eyes, and Emily being the silly person that she is made his lips and had blood running down the side of his face. After a couple of minutes the food coloring had spread and he looked like the Joker from The Dark Night the new Batman movie.
This picture is the Jokers latest victim. The poor little guy didn't have a chance.

This is just one of my adventures in lovely Cedar City.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

So this Christmas we spent Christmas in Kanarraville at Cash's house. All six of us were there and it was just a great holiday!! It was nice for all of us to be together and enjoy the holiday. We had cousins and aunts and uncles and friends join us throughout the holidays. On Christmas Day we got a lot of snow so some of us decided to make a giant snowman! Cash and Adam did most of the work, but I came out and helped with the top half of the snowman.

We also did a lot of sledding and my butt was very cold and sore after sledding.

Last Christmas as some of you may remember I got a lifesize cardboard cutout of Legolas from Lord of the Rings. Well this Christmas I got a lifesize cardboard cutout of Edward Cullen from Twilight. I don't know why people get me these things but I must say I really do enjoy them. As you can see I wasn't the only one who enjoyed Edward around. Along with Edward I got the movies I wanted, plus a few gift cards, and some pajamas and a couple of robes.
The Saturday after Christmas I had a blind date. His name is Byron Reeves (and no he is not related to any of the Reeves in Utah). It was such a fun date. We talked the whole time, and we actually have a lot in common. We doubled with my boss who set us up and his wife (Ben and Staci). We met them at Outback Steakhouse then went to their house after dinner and had a foosball competition. Let's just say that Byron got to see the real me. Nothing has happened since the date, but Ben seems pretty confident that Byron is going to call me soon. Byron has been in Salt Lake for a couple of weeks.
New Years Day I went on another date. This time with a Marine! He is the Doty's cousin and I've actually been out with him before but it has been about two years. We went shooting and 4-wheeling and it was a blast. Gabe (the Marine) is very attractive but very shy. I was the one trying to keep him talking. He did show me how to shoot some pistols or hand guns. I did get really good at shooting the clay pigeons with the shot guns. I also ended up with a bruise on my shoulder the next day.
So this holiday season I had a lot of fun and experienced lots of new things. Such as going on two dates with two different guys within less than a week. That is totally not like me as most of you know.It has been a lot of fun and I've enjoyed every minute of it, but now I'm back to work and it is so boring!

White Christmas...might happen in St. George!!!

So as most of you know the last week we have had a couple of rather large snowstorms!!! I love it!! I think that they were sent to help me prepare for when I am living in Logan, of course I'm sure these snowstorms are nothing compared to those in Logan. Anyway, so these first pictures are from Tuesday after are first hit on Monday.

This was what our backyard looked like as I was leaving for work, I so wanted to go make a snowman, by the time I got home from work it was pretty much all melted. However, it snowed again on Wednesday and it was a real blizzard. I had to drive over to the college with Barbara to see the Nutcracker, which was really good, I was just really tired. It was kind of scary to drive in that weather it was really hard to see the roads and they were all covered in snow. After the Nutcracker I went home and we had a good 3-4 inches of snow on the ground. Cash got home a little after I did and he and I decided to make a snowman at 10:30 at night in the middle of the blizzard, but it had calmed down a lot. It was so much fun and our snowman was huge. Cash had started before me so by the time I had gotten out there his snowball was pretty big, so I started on the second ball and by the time I got it to where Cash was my snowball was almost as big as his. You should have seen us trying to put it on top of the first ball it took all my strength not to laugh. Sam and Rusty joined us, Rusty was a bit skittish around our snowman. We made him a cowboy snowman and Dad let us use one of his hats for the snowman. It was a lot of fun and it was cold, and I got really wet because I kept slipping and falling into the snow.
