View from the Top

So on Tuesday my friend Erika, her sister Jenny, and myself decided to go on a quest to reach the top of the Red Mountain in Ivins. It was a blast and totally worth the pain and anguish. I'll admit that when we first started the hike I didn't think that I was going to be able to make it, but we all pressed on and after an hour made it to the top of the Red Mountain. At the top we decided to explore a bit. At the very top of the mountain I called my dad (we got really good service up at the top) told him to grab his binoculars and see if he could spot us. He called me back and yelled at me to get away from the edge. And just for your information I was a good ten feet from the edge, I'm terrified of heights and that was as close as I dared get. After some exploring we decided to have a little fun and jump off of a rock into the sand. It was a ton of fun, and I am very grateful that I made it up. The view from the top is exquisite and totally worth the pain. This was my third time hiking to the top of the red mountain and I will totally do it again, so if anyone ever wants to hike to the top count me in!

That looks like a lot of fun. Maybe we could all do that when we come down for the family bbq. You get to carry Terek in the backpack on your back!!!

That is so cool! Josh has hiked it a bunch of times, but I never have. It really only took you an hour to get to the top? Interesting, I may want to do it, one of these day's. I'll let ya know!
