Okay, so what on earth is Gothic literature. Is it scary stuff? Please explain. For my behalf and everyone else, because I know there is only a select few who even know what "gothic lit" is!

Gothic literature includes books such as "Northanger Abbey" by Jane Austen, "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte, "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelley, "Dracula" by Bram Stoker, and "The Mysteries of Udolpho" by Ann Radcliffe to name a few.
Pretty much Gothic literature involves supernatural forces of some sort, such as vampires, ghosts, supernatural powers and what not. The Gothic Literature class will actually be taking us up to Edinburgh, Scotland, which is supposed to be one of the most haunted cities in the world.
Don't worry I'll be posting lots of pictures while I'm in England just to make you all jealous! ;)
