I hate Car Problems!

I have to tell you a funny story about how my week went last week. So on Monday everything was going fine, everything was normal...until I got back to my car after class. I tried to start my car, but it would not start. It wasn't making a noise or anything. So I called around until I could finally get a hold of someone who understood cars, and I found out that my battery was dead. So I was a bit distressed and unsure of what to do so I walked back to my apartment which is only a mile away from campus. I thought of calling Cash to have him come jump my car but I figured that I would have to wait until he got off work, then I realized "Oh yeah, Cash isn't even in Utah right now, he's on the Colorado River going through the Grand Canyon." So I called Libby but she was in class and wouldn't answer her phone. Neither of my roommates had jumper cables so we called some guys in our ward and eventually found one who could jump my car. He got my car running and I drove it back to my apartment. I tried starting it again later that day and it wouldn't start again. So I had to walk to work. The next day my roommate was nice enough to drive me to school. I was told by dad and the guy that jumped my car that since my car is a stick I should be able to push start it.
So I convinced my roommates to push my car so that I could get it started so that I could go to a battery exchange and get a new battery. However, since I wasn't sure how to start my car we pretty much just pushed my car around the parking lot for fun. I finally decided just to text and see if anyone had jumper cables again. This time Klint was nice enough to come and jump my car; however, he wasn't able to start my car, whether because of bad cables or my battery was just completely dead. He did offer to put a new battery in for me. So I asked my roommate to take me to Wal-mart and I got a new battery, and that night Klint came over and put a new battery in. I love having family that is willing to help when I'm distressed, and if you help me I'll even make you cookies!
I'm very proud of myself for not getting too emotional over my car not working right. I'm just glad that it happened when it did, and not in the middle of a snowstorm or something like that. Now I'm just trying to catch up on the homework I got behind on.

Wow, I hate car problems! Aren't they such a pain? But it's really great that you had family and friends to help you out. I can remember all the times I've depended on my family/friends to help with car troubles...

I've never actually push started a stick shift car, but I want to some day. Taught how but never had to. Sounds like you had fun, though!

It's so frustrating! Glad I have Josh! I happen to get very emotional over car problems:). You can push start a stick, but you almost have to have it on a hell to do it. Beacuse you have to pop into gear while it's rolling. Glad you got it fixed.
